More than thirty years ago my mother gave me my first copy of Prevention Magazine. It influenced me greatly and ever since then I have looked for alternatives to drugs and conventional medicine. I will still take an aspirin for a pesky headache but when it comes to a chronic problem I look beyond the quick fix. More recently in my past I had the very good fortune to find an MD who is also a naturopath and homeopath. She changed my life and that of my family forever and confirmed once again that there are very good and effective ways to treat long term conditions without drugs.
In May my mother called me from halfway across the country and told me that she was scheduled for hip
replacement surgery later in June. But when June came she called again and said that the surgery had been
cancelled. When I asked what happened, she said that she had been taking a product called Synthovial SEVEN
which had given her so much relief that her doctors felt that she no longer needed the surgery, and furthermore,
she wasn't even using her cane to walk. Needless to say this interested me and I asked her where she had gotten
this product and was informed that my brother had given it to her and he had gotten it from a colleague of his.
He uses it to relieve the pain in his hands from grasping the steering wheel. He drives a great deal with his job and over the years it's gotten very painful for him. I am 52 years old and for me that was too young to have so much chronic and intense pain. It was depressing to feel this way and never knowing when one knee or the other would simply buckle under me.
